Switching
And you cannot face doing it all again. That is the real reason firms stay on a tool they have outgrown, so there are two ways to get past it.
Nearly every firm owner I speak to who likes the look of Power Pricing but has not moved tells me a version of the same thing.
I have put hours into my pricing setup and I cannot face doing it all again.
It is a fair objection. The line items, the price breaks, the questions behind each service: that took real thought, probably over an evening or two you did not have. Nobody wants to redo it, so the move stays on the someday list and you keep paying for something you have half outgrown.
There are two ways through it, and one of them is free.
The process we use is written down, step by step: which exports to take from your current tool, what each column becomes in Power Pricing, the order to build things in, and the checks to run at the end so you know nothing has been missed.
It costs nothing. Ask below and we will send it to you, whether or not you ever become a customer. Most firms who follow it are done in an afternoon.
The same process, run by us, as a paid service with a fixed fee quoted before you commit to anything.
From your current tool. It is about ten minutes of clicking, and we send you the exact steps rather than making you work it out. We never ask for your login to another system, and you should not give it to any supplier who does.
Within three working days you get a reconciliation workbook: every line item you had, where it has gone in Power Pricing, and what it now prices at. Priced to match what you charge today, so your fees do not move unless you want them to. Anything unusual is flagged rather than quietly guessed at.
Where you have something Power Pricing does not do out of the box, it becomes a custom service, with your say-so rather than ours.
You read the workbook. If it is right, we apply it. If it is not, we fix it first. Your account is not touched before you have said yes.
If it does not reconcile your pricing to within 10%, you do not pay.
That is not a soft promise about being happy. It is a number you can check against the workbook, which is the whole reason the workbook exists.
We tested it on a real firm's complete setup, all 256 line items, before offering it to anybody. Everything that mattered came across priced to match, proven line by line.
It also found two pricing gaps the firm did not know it had, which was not the point of the exercise but was the most useful thing to come out of it.
A small number of done-for-you migrations a month, no more. A real person reads your setup and rebuilds it, so this is not something that scales by pressing a button, and doing it properly for a few firms is better than doing it carelessly for many.
If the current month is full, we will tell you rather than rush yours. The instructions are always available either way.
Two things worth being straight about, because they are your responsibility as much as ours.
What we do with your exports. They are your data, and your clients' data. If we run the migration for you we handle it only to do that job, under a written agreement with you, and we delete our copy once you have approved the rebuild. If you follow the instructions yourself, your data never reaches us at all.
Check your own notice period first. Your contract with your current supplier is between you and them. Look at when it renews and how much notice it needs before you plan the move, because a migration that lands the week after an annual renewal is an expensive kind of tidy.
Switching is not free even when the rebuild is handled. Your team has to learn where things are, and there will be a fortnight where the new thing feels slower than the old thing, because it is unfamiliar rather than because it is worse.
If your current tool is working and your fees are where you want them, there is no prize for moving. The firms this is for are the ones who already know they want to move and have been stopped by the rebuild.
The step-by-step for moving your pricing across yourself. Free, and yours to keep whether or not you ever pay us anything.
Want us to do it instead? Say so in the message box and we will come back with a fixed fee and the next available slot.
